TIMEsink REVIEW: A Dark Room

Incremental games are some of the most dangerous timesinks - most of them are literally just based around getting to the next milestone, the higher number, which is functionally similar to the previous. So it's rather refreshing to see an incremental game defy that.
A Dark Room is a rather sombre affair, which puts you into a room with an unlit fire and no explanation, and tells its story only through suggestion. And yes, it's an incremental game with a story, though you'll have to read between the lines to find it. You'll start by eking out an existence in a world populated only by scavengers and beasts, it seems - and then you'll find that there's more out there to discover.
How best do you discover it? By asking the right questions. As an example, and without giving anything away - how can one person use six weapons at once?
Alun's Timesink Rating: 4. Not as intense as other incrementals, but certainly more intriguing.
