TIMEsink REVIEW: Tower of Heaven

Platforming games are a dime a dozen on the internet, and many of them lack both style and depth. They're thrown together in some simplistic prebaked engine, and have generic assets lifted from the internet or slapped into MS Paint. But occasionally a platformer comes along which defies all that - and to find one which does so under the restrictions of a Gameboy is even more impressive.
Tower of Heaven sets you as an unknown adventurer climbing the titular tower, along the way obeying the whims of an increasingly petulant god. This manifests in a book of rules, which dictate your behaviour and will bring said god's wrath down upon those who break them. Not to spoil anything, but these rules become increasingly difficult to follow - play to find out more, and enjoy the great soundtrack along the way, which is a stellar example of a theme well mixed.
Alun's Timesink Rating: 2. It can be played through in less than an hour, but it's an experience worth going through.
